Cedar Bridge Manor Park Contract Awarded In Brick

BRICK, NJ — Cedar Bridge Manor Park is going to receive its long-awaited makeover, after the Brick Township Council approved a contract for the park renovation Tuesday night.

The contract for $465,412 was awarded to Robbie Lane Enterprises of Towaco, which was the lowest responsive bidder.

Councilwoman Andrea Zapcic said the highest bid for the project was more than $100,000 higher, at $572,385.

After lengthy delays, Brick Township is moving forward with its plans to renovate Cedar Bridge Manor Park.

The renovation plans for the park, on Manor Drive along the Metedeconk River, include two ADA-compliant playgrounds, exercise stations, and a kayak launch.

The project also will replenish the beach area and includes shoreline protection with the installation of rip rap.

Specifics on the construction timeline were not announced but work is anticipated to begin in late spring.
